Acupuncture is the use of needles to stimulate specific points on the body to elicit the free flow of qi & blood to bring about overall health & balance. Acupuncture is just one aspect of TCM. Your treatments may include complimentary Cupping, Gua Sha, Moxabustion, E-Stim, and/or Tui Na. Herbal Remedies are am invaluable adjunct to treatment and are available at an additional cost.

Sage Wellness of San Diego is proud to offer Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Massage Therapy. Our treatments are all based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) along with modern supplementation and bodywork.
TCM is composed of 5 Elements: Herbal Therapy, Acupuncture, Food Therapy, Massage (Tui Na) & Tai Chi/Qi Gong. Acupuncture is recorded in the oldest medical textbook in the world, the 4,700 year old Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine. It is based on theories by Shen Nung, the father of Chinese Medicine, who believed that the body has an energy force running through it known as Qi.
A person’s health is influenced by the flow of Qi in the body in combination with the universal forces of Yin & Yang. If the flow of Qi is insufficient, unbalanced or interrupted, Yin & Yang become unbalanced, and illness may occur. Qi travels throughout the body along meridians & acupuncture points are specific locations along these meridians.

Our therapists have over 20 years of experience & over 3000 hours of education. We are great listeners & we will create a custom massage for your needs..
We use the finest natural massage oils & lotions and ensure a comfortable experience with heated tables, soft face cradles, salt candles & custom Aromatherapy. We offer a range of therapeutic massages that relax & revitalize body & mind. Massage can be done in conjunction with acupuncture and is often an excellent adjunct. Sage Massage Therapists can perform a great number of treatment styles. Some of them include, but not limited to:

On Your First Visit
To learn more about you, we will do a complete set of diagnostic tests including blood pressure, tongue and pulse diagnosis & a full medical history. This first visit will take approximately 90 minutes and will cover any questions & concerns you have regarding your current health issues. Sage Wellness of San Diego is committed to providing safe & comfortable treatments and we have a warm and relaxing environment to ensure you enjoy your experience. We ask that you download the form below and fill it out prior to your appointment. It will assist us in reviewing your information to get a detailed overview of your condition and then discuss the options we can safely provide. Doing this will also save us quite a bit of time in this first visit, and we can have more time discussing treatment options.
